Upbound Moments began as a natural extension of my media work, even during my undergraduate years when I first recognized the importance of capturing life’s intimate milestones. These moments differ from corporate events or influencer sessions—requiring not just technical skill, but the interpersonal presence to blend into the day’s flow without intrusion. Milestones like christenings, graduations, and family celebrations often come once in a lifetime, and deserve careful, attentive documentation. With Upbound Moments, I aim to preserve these experiences with the respect and grace they merit. The following selections reflect the spirit of this offering.

Project Backstory | Neeka and David married recently, and I’ve known David since our high school years. Our friend group was overjoyed to hear they were welcoming a child—an especially new sensation for us, as many of us are now in our 30s. It was a personal honor to photograph the christening of Little Noel, marking both a new chapter for them and for our circle of friends.
We photographed from the family’s arrival through to the concluding honorific luncheon, capturing nearly 2,000 images across an eight-hour service day.

Project Backstory | The wedding was approaching quickly—small budget, no frills, but brimming with family and joy. Trevie, an acquaintance of my then-girlfriend, needed an affordable, reliable solution. My partner asked if I could help, and I couldn’t say no. Such moments are both irreplaceable and immeasurably precious. We all deserve touchstones to these memories—a way to hold onto nostalgia and share it with others. It almost felt like an obligation to grab my camera and capture it. Budget concerns aside, the mission was clear: create something lasting for this couple. From this, Upbound Moments emerged—a branch of my media company dedicated to capturing the life events that define our personal histories: engagements, weddings, and family milestones. There’s something timeless about physical prints—an honorific that fits within an old brass frame, or a tangible album marking the ritual of love. My goal is to offer accessible and approachable photography for moments you want to preserve, cherish, and share with your community. Images worthy of framing in a space you call home.

Project Backstory | I worked for Achievement First Brooklyn High School during the 2016–2017 academic year. In my role within the operations department, I became connected not only with students across all grades but especially bonded with the speech and debate team. Having competed in debate during my own high school years, I applied my media skills across various school events, culminating in coverage of the year-end graduation and the college acceptance letter-opening ceremony for several debate students.
What We Did | Upbound Moments provided event capture services for graduation and several speech and debate events. These engagements went beyond mere documentation; they supported and helped shape the school’s culture of achievement.

Project Backstory | I graduated from my master’s program in 2016, but due to administrative issues, I couldn’t attend the ceremony or collect my diploma that year. I didn’t even have pictures taken to commemorate the moment—a gap I’ve since worked to address for others. During the final year of our undergraduate experience, many seniors at Trinity College juggled classes, work, and milestone events like last-chance dances and ring ceremonies. Yearbook portraits, a longstanding tradition, had lost their appeal in an increasingly digital era. Official school media and yearbook committees were barely known to the student body, leaving little investment in the process beyond the single, sacred cap-and-gown photo.
What We Did | Seeing an opportunity, I offered portrait sessions to several peers who wanted more personal and dynamic images to commemorate their time. Trinity’s diverse student population carried unique talents and passions that deserved to be captured beyond the traditional look. The portraits featured here reflect the personalities and experiences of my classmates ahead of graduation, adding a deeper layer to their collegiate memories.

Project Backstory | Rebel commissioned me during our collaborations to create content reflecting her eclectic life as both an entrepreneur and a mother. While this content was ultimately meant for promotional use—behind-the-scenes glimpses to complement her broader consulting services—the moments we captured were deeply personal and precious.
What We Did | Her children never take their recreation time lightly, and it was a joy not just to observe but to embed myself in their playful world as we created candid moments of capture. Whenever Rebel hires me, or whenever we collaborate on projects, I may end the day tired, but it never feels like labor. This was one such fortunate occasion.
